Downtown Napa has a new, elevated venue for intimate receptions: the water deck on the rooftop at Archer Hotel. Perched on the sixth floor of Napa’s newest boutique hotel, the open-air, star-lit space offers a shallow water deck and picture-perfect views of downtown and the valley vistas beyond. The 4,400-sq.-ft. venue is flanked by cabanas with luxurious stone fireplaces — a distinctive setting to savor inventive, celebratory fare.

The grand salon, with dramatic 22-foot ceilings, features suspended walnut arcs reminiscent of the rolling hills of Napa Valley. Every great gathering should have an inspired start — and the Patchett salon is just such a space. Wine pioneer John Patchett (1797 - 1876) was the first person to plant a vineyard (just a few blocks from Archer) and build a wine cellar for commercial use in the Napa Valley. 

The salon named in his honor is ideal for intimate gatherings: executive retreats, private dinners or a toast to all those who made the valley the destination it is today.

Wine pioneer John Patchett hired Charles Krug in 1858 as his winemaker. Both are unsung heroes of the Napa Valley wine tradition — with roots literally planted here in downtown Napa.

This intimate salon, named for the storied winemaker, is a delightful venue for small gatherings and, dare we suggest, tastings. Whether for business or pleasure, it's customizable to your taste.
